RED
I'm never one for the brave red lippy but for the last few days I've gone out of my comfort zone and (surprise, surprise) I've decided to work a red matte! Trust me this is most certainly a deep red matte colour by Kate Moss!! It's so intense it leaves a mark everywhere!! But ngl I love it: the colour; the texture; the confidence boost. It's amazing!! Highly recommend it ladies!!

Vintage Pieces
Something that I have never bought before is Vintage Clothing. To be honest, and I don't mean to be rude, it really creeps me out at the thought of wearing second-hand clothes. For all I know someone could of died in it! However every time I go pass a vintage store (which is rare cos there is like none where I live) I'm always in aw at the window displays: '60s Bubblegum suits; '40s playful dresses; '90s Bomber Jackets; '80s crazy print sweaters. I love the fashion from the 40s, 50s & 60s but one thing that is a serious challenge and drawback of vintage stores is the sizing. You are lucky to actually find something that fits perfectly.
But for those vintage lovers out there I presume you have heard of Beyond Retro, based in London, it has clothing & accessories from every decade. Here are some of my favourite and you know what, I actually kind of want to buy:

Fiercely Bootish
For today's post I've decided to check out some of my favourite fashion stores to see their latest shoe collections - focusing on my favourite shoe for A|W, BOOTS!! Who doesn't love a good pair of boots eh? From rock hard leather to soft suede, from knee-high to ankle boots, everyone has a favourite. What's yours? I personally prefer the ankle height cos they work whether you are wearing jeans, tights or bare leg. So here are some of my favourite boots with their links below picture:

Grunge Spice
For some reason this season I'm seriously loving the grunge trend but I must make it clear, I am not and I repeat...a grunger/emo or any other (not that I have a problem with those of you who are - I'm all for equality). But it's actually so so hot this A|W! All the crosses, skulls & spikes! I want it on everything, hey I might even get it on my lingerie if I'm feeling nifty...It has this great tough edge that gives one serious attitude. So I've started stocking up already and collecting along the way. Every store has them but you have to shop around and find ones you like cos some can look cheap and tacky....and you seriously don't want that! I got these earrings from Miss Selfridge's Diva range.
What about ladies, ready to ditch the pearls?

Crosses
Coat - Topshop
T- shirt - Glamourous
Shorts - DIY creation
Black Pointed Angular Boots - Topshop
Earrings - Diva
Ring - River Island
Last night I had an unusual dilemma.....what does one wear to the cinema? I hadn't been in ageeees and I probably wore jeans the last time but I was seriously thinking what the hell am I suppose to wear? I went for a grungy look cos I think that works for a low-key event. What do you think? Now my sister thought I was a bit over dressed but I dunno? Anyway no one in the cinema minded (not that they should) cos everyone was too busy laughing at Ted - "Stop feeding the kid so many snickers!". Oh but you know what I couldn't believe? The S I Z E of the drinks!! I got large - little did I know that it was the size of the globe - but still, it was coke.

Dogtooth Print
My first buy for A|W '12? Dogtooth Shorts! I've seen the dogtooth print everywhere from Paul Smith to Moschino. I got mine though - high street style - @ River Island! The minute you pop into a River Island store there is that dogtooth print on shorts, skirts, blazers, shirts, shoes, bags & tights. You can clearly tell they are taking it to the extreme!! I personally only like it on the shorts & tights. To wear it as a suit - head to toe - would frighten me! Eek...
What do you think of the dogtooth print? Dare to take it to the extreme?

Burberry Inspired
Image via: Grazia
For today's post I decided to hunt down this A|W Burberry look, it took a while but I found some great similar pieces to recreate the whole look from the catwalk!
I found this Topshop khaki army jacket which is very military styled. From the catwalk I could see that Burberry were sporting animals on their tees so I found this Zoe Karssen Bat Tee. Even though they had the owl I think the bat works just as great. Now to the skirt...where do I begin. There are tons of different pencil skirts with a peplum but here Burberry had them more soft and playful then the usual structured peplums. So I found a similar one from Warehouse. But you can't wear that skirt without a killer belt so check out this metal studded belt from ASOS! Studs & spikes are striking all over this coming season so be sure to add them to your outfits! I also found a sleek mustard pair of gloves that will add chicness to your outfit! And last but certainly not least, shoes!! Now I can't decide which ones go better with this outfit so you guys will have to comment below and tell me which ones - Newlook ankle boots or Kurt Geiger ankle boots?

Collar
There is no doubt about it that the collar is and will be big for AW. It's hard not to like the chicness and sophistication of the collar. I for one love a collar that has a clean, sharp point. So today I've found my favourite collars on Topshop and ASOS to share with yous!

What do you think of the collar?
